On the left is an isogenic line of UK spring wheat, Paragon, with the inclusion of the Polish wheat gene VRT-A2. It is 99% similar to Uk spring wheat BUT with the Polish wheat version of the gene hence it has longer glumes. On the right is the sibling line with the normal version of the gene.
