Hon. Christian Paradis and Grand Challenges Canada CEO Peter Singer, discuss the Clean Birth Kit with its developer, Shaun Morris of Toronto's SickKids Hospital. The Government of Canada today committed a further $161 million to continue the work of Grand Challenges Canada in improving the health of mothers, newborns and children in the developing world. The Honourable Christian Paradis, Canada's Minister of International Development and La Francophonie, made the announcement with Grand Challenges Canada CEO Peter Singer at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Kids, a major centre of innovation in MNCH, Canada's top development priority.
