Extreme climatic events, like floods, can have greater impact on nature than previously thought. Here, an Oystercatcher's nest is flooded: all eggs are gone within an hour and a half. Sea level rise caused by climate change makes these floods already twice as frequent as 20 years ago. How will this effect -- especially the low breeding -- oystercatcher populations?
