Krithi Karanth, conservation biologist from Bangalore, India, has received National Geographic's 10,000th grant. She will use the funds to assess human-wildlife conflicts in five Indian parks, identifying and mapping risks and consequences for local people and the implications for conflict-prone wildlife species such as elephants, wild pigs, leopards and tigers.
