USAID's 'Feed the Future' Soybean Innovation Lab at the University of Illinois, African Agricultural Technology Foundation, and the Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture (SFSA) There is no third-party soybean variety testing in Africa. The Syngenta Foundation has conducted seed trails for several crops in Africa, but not soybean. Soybean Innovation Lab, the Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture, and the African Agricultural Technology Foundation are partnering to establish a pan-African soybean varietal testing program. The program is piloted at 12 research stations in Kenya, Malawi, and Zambia.
