The eye may not be as vulnerable to the novel coronavirus as previously thought. Washington University ophthalmologist Rajendra S. Apte, MD, PhD, and infectious diseases specialist Jonathan J. Miner, MD, PhD, have found that human corneas appear resistant to the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19.
