Swinging Arm Artificial Enzymes Using DNA Nanotechnology (VIDEO)
Caption
In the middle of a DNA scaffold is affixed a single strand of DNA, with NAD+ tethered to the end like a ball and string. ASU Professor Han Yan refers to this as a swinging arm, which is long, flexible and dexterous enough to rock back and forth between the enzymes in the blink of the eye to catalyze a reaction.
