Autonomy in Visual and Motor Regions (IMAGE)
Caption
Researchers looked at the degree to which brain regions mirrored each other during a six-week learning process, looking for differences between people who picked up a simple game immediately and those who learned more gradually. Most striking was the way the parts of the brain associated with motor control and visual perception became increasingly independent as the participants mastered the game.
