UT Southwestern Medical Center researchers have identified a gene in mice that appears to underlie the intensity of the response to cocaine. Neuroscience Lecturer Dr. Vivek Kumar, (left), is the lead author of the study published in Science, and Dr. Joseph Takahashi, Chairman of Neuroscience and a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator at UT Southwestern, is the study's senior author.
