Calculating Solutions to Combat Zika

Mathematicians are working with other scientists on models that would simulate introducing mosquitoes infected with the bacteria Wolbachia into the wild. If successful, this would shorten mosquitoes' lifespans and curb Zika infection rates until a vaccine could be developed.
