Under Pressure: Reproducing Deep-Earth Chemistry (VIDEO)
Caption
Chemists want to understand chemical reactions that happen in solutions under high pressure in the Earth's crust. A new device invented at UC Davis allows chemists to make nuclear magnetic resonance measurements of chemical solutions up to pressures of 20 kiloBar.
