Separating Good and Bad Data (IMAGE)
Caption
This image provides an example of how the newly developed algorithm, IODA, separated good and bad data from an anemometer in Alaska. The instrument measured wind speeds in meters per second over an hour. The blue data points have been given a high-quality score by the algorithm, while the red data points have been given a low-quality score.
