A. Before each run participants were introduced to the person whose preferences they would subsequently rate. Adults and adolescents rated preferences of persons from their own peer group on a 10-point Likert scale (1='not at all' and 10='very much'; rating phase) and received trial-by-trial feedback about the person's actual rating for the item (feedback). B. After the preference task, participants rated their own preferences for the same and similar additional items on the same rating scale.
