A schematic illustration of the preparation process for porous MoS2, via the following steps: APTES was added to the aforementioned silica gel, and thiourea or L-cysteine as the sulfur source was added to the above solution. ammonium molybdate was dissolved in water and poured into the silica gel. The gel was poured into a stainless steel autoclave and hydrothermally treated to obtain a black gel. The product was placed into HF solution and stirred to etch away the SiO2 templates to obtain porous MoS2.
