Ray Turner, one of the researchers that established the plots in the 1960s, and Robert Webb, a lead researcher and co-author of the paper taking measurements of a saguaro. Susana Rodríguez-Buriticá is grateful of the commitment by the previous generations to ecological monitoring, especially at Tumamoc Hill, and the vision they had of its impact on ecological research.
