Alison Cahill, MD, an associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, talks with patient Kaylee Prestien at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Cahill led a national study of 2,400 first-time pregnant women. The research showed that the timing of pushing has no effect on whether women deliver vaginally or by C-section.
