Novel Imaging Method to Visualize Respiratory Activity of 3D Tissue Models 2021-04-23

Spheroids were settled on the gold electrode with a luminescent solution. When the potential steps were applied, the spheroids were brightly visualized. The dark area around the spheroids indicates a decrease in luminescence attributed to low O2 concentration, caused by the respiratory activity of the spheroids.
