Caption

The bottom-up synthesis of crystalline-stacked boron atomic layers from a solution process. The conductivity measurements revealed the electronic feature. The activation energy of the in-plane conductivity suggested a metal-like behavior whereas that of the interplane showed a semiconducting nature.
