Stabilizing gassy electrolytes at lower pressure

Artistic rendering of a battery separator that condenses gas electrolytes into liquid at a much lower pressure. The new separator improves battery safety and its performance in the extreme cold by keeping more electrolyte, as well as lithium ions, flowing in the battery.
