Stanford University professor Kate Maher is exploring ways to convert carbon dioxide, a potent greenhouse gas, into underground deposits of magnesite. Maher and colleagues in the School of Earth Sciences are conducting field studies at an abandoned magnesite mine east of the Stanford campus.
