Mitzi Gonzales, Ph.D., of UT Health San Antonio is lead author of a study of cognition and gait speed among 370 participants in the San Antonio Longitudinal Study of Aging (SALSA). The study found that in a majority of participants, measures of cognition and gait speed paralleled each other over a 9.5-year study follow-up period.
