Amyloid's March (VIDEO)
Caption
Starting early in the life of an Alzheimer's model (5XFAD) mouse using SWITCH technology, researchers were able to see amyloid plaque buildups (stained white) in deep regions of the brain early in disease. Over succeeding months, the plaques spread from there along specific circuits. At each new age the video starts anew from the mammillary body.
