DNRAbs Reduce the Number of Neurons and Neuronal Connections (IMAGE)
Caption
Exposure to DNRAbs (right) reduces the number of neurons and neuronal connections in the CA1 region of the hippocampus, a brain region important for spatial memory. Memory loss can be prevented in mice by ACE inhibitors such as captopril that block the activation of brain cells called microglia.
