The University of Nevada, Reno, received $2.4 million from the mining industry in Nevada to enhance its mineral processing and extractive metallurgy programs and research. Carl Nesbitt, Assoc. Professor of Metallurgical-Minerals Engineering in Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering, teaches undergraduate students during a mineral process lab class in the crushing and grinding lab on campus.
