The goal of Health Literacy Missouri is to establish a 15-credit hour minor degree program for undergraduate, non-physician health professional students using both traditional classroom curricula and online courses. The program will consist of three credit-hour classes, each of which addresses specific medical and non-medical issues relating to the health literacy and health compliance of Missourians with chronic illnesses and disabilities. An estimated 300 health professional students will be educated in the program.
