Asking the Giant Panda about Sweet Taste

Two-bowl choice tests were used to assess the giant panda's liking for sweet taste. Pandas were given two bowls, one containing sugar water and the other plain water, and allowed to drink for five minutes. If the panda drank more sugar water than plain water, it was classified as preferring the sugar water.
