Normal and Genetically Modified Muscle Tissue (IMAGE)

A normal muscle fibers are shown in the left panels at three, seven, and 14 days post injury. The fibers in the right panel are from the genetically modified mice that were overexpressing the TEAD1 gene, which resulted in a significant increase in muscle stem cells. The bright red dots and arrows indicated the muscle stem cells.
