Sandia National Laboratories scientist Robert Jeffers was part of a research team that analyzed ways to increase resilience in New Orleans during and after severe weather. When the power goes out, getting access to clean drinking water, food, medical care, shelter, prescriptions and more can be challenging. The team studied how microgrids could help provide access to these services and boost community resilience.
