Chemo for glioblastoma may work better in morning than evening (IMAGE)
Caption
Shown are the MRI scans of the brain of a participant in a clinical trial evaluating chronotherapy -- or the timed delivery of drugs, based on circadian rhythms -- for glioblastoma. The tumor is shown as the white area in the left side image. The large white area in the image on the right is swelling associated with the tumor. A new study from Washington University in St. Louis suggests that a minor adjustment to the current standard treatment -- giving chemotherapy in the morning rather than the evening -- could add a few months to patients' survival.
