Two grants from the National Institutes of Health will support research by Cathy Wu, director of the University of Delaware's Center for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. The work will further develop the 'Protein Ontology' -- a 'virtual reference library' for proteins -- and offer improved indexing, access and analysis of huge amounts of scientific data. The work has significant implications for the development of precision medicine.
