Human tumor lymphoma cells. Daruka Mahadevan, MD, PhD, a researcher at the Mays Cancer Center, home to UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson, studies high-grade lymphoma and says many chemotherapies cause some cells to become large with more than two chromosomes. He said the goal is to introduce other drugs that stop this cell acquisition of extra chromosomes.
