The Kelly Lab, in collaboration with Protochips, Inc., has developed new custom-designed substrates (cryo-ChipsTM ) for use in cryo-Electron Microscopy. These substrates enabled structural studies of mutated proteins formed in human cancer. Cryo-Chips may be broadly used for both materials and life sciences applications.
