A 3-D TRMM image of Hurricane Carlos

The Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) data was used to create a 3-D image of Hurricane Carlos on July 13. The 3-D image shows thunderstorm tops reaching about 9.3 miles high in the eastern side of the storm.
