Researchers' New Slick Method May Improve Water Harvesting (VIDEO)
Caption
This video shows the effectiveness of a slippery rough surface (left) in channeling and directing water droplets at a higher rate than the other two surfaces. Developed by researchers at the University of Texas at Dallas and Penn State, and inspired by surfaces found in nature, the material represents a new way of optimizing water harvesting applications. The research was published in the journal Science Advances.
