UH theoretical physicist Margaret Cheung and her colleagues are using complex computer simulations to illuminate the workings of the phosphoglycerate kinase (PGK) enzyme that, when malfunctioning, may cause Alzheimer's and cancer. This illustration shows the different characteristic PGK structures observed in the simulations.
