Foil Cavity from Interstellar Dust Impact (IMAGE)

A top-down scanning electron microscope view of one of the interstellar dust impacts (1061N,3). The crater is about 280 nanometers across. The dust particle residue is visible as the 'bumpy' terrain inside the crater.
