New research from the laboratory of Dario Vignali, Ph.D., at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital found that T cell accumulation in the pancreatic islet of Langerhans is tightly controlled. The results provide insight into the composition of T cells that mediate type 1 diabetes. In this image of a pancreatic islet, beta cells are stained green.
