The University of Colorado Boulder has become a full institutional member of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, a project at Apache Point, N.M., funded primarily by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and the National Science Foundation and which maps stars, galaxies and quasars in three dimensions to learn more about the structure and evolution of the universe.
