C. elegans Sorted into Mutants and Non-Mutants (VIDEO)
Caption
A custom designed chip immobilizes C. elegans roundworms for a microscope optic to photograph and feed into a computer. The chip then sorts the worms into one of two channels for either mutants or non-mutants, a status an algorithm determines based on subtle phenotypical differences it recognizes in the microscope photo.
