U of A researchers successfully use 3-D 'bioprinting' to create nose cartilage (VIDEO)

The researchers use a specially designed hydrogel that could be mixed with cells collected from a patient and then printed in a specific shape. Over about four weeks, the material is cultured in a lab to become functional cartilage.
