Piloting Task in Simulated Hypo-gravity (VIDEO)
Caption
The centrifuge is spinning at 26 rotations per minute which creates a centripetal acceleration equal to half of Earth's gravity. During the actual experiment, the subject is in the dark. The chair mounted on top of the centrifuge tilts and the subject uses the joystick to try to keep themselves aligned with the centripetal acceleration.
