A new study, by Megan Niederwerder in Kansas State University's College of Veterinary Medicine, is examining the risk of African swine fever virus and the ability of the disease to spread through swine feed and imported feed ingredients. The study is helping develop strategies to mitigate the potential harm to pork producers from this highly contagious and costly animal disease.
