Raymond Shaw is a professor of physics at Michigan Technological University. He studies the smallest part of clouds: water droplets. In a recent study published in Science, Shaw and a team of researchers used holographic imaging and an airplane laboratory at the National Center for Atmospheric Research to exmine how cloud particles mix.
