NASA-NOAA Suomi NPP satellite observed Kenneth at 5:24 p.m. EDT (2142 UTC) on April 24, 2019. On the edge of the pass as it was to the northwest of Comoros. The infrared imagery showed features that are typical of an intense tropical system with overshooting cloud tops and convectively driven tropospheric gravity waves.
