Adjusted hazard ratio (95% CI) of cardiovascular events as a function of hypertension treatment-time (either upon awakening or at bedtime). Total events: Death from all causes, myocardial infarction, coronary revascularization, heart failure, ischaemic and haemorrhagic stroke, angina pectoris, peripheral artery disease, thrombotic occlusion of the retinal artery, and transient ischaemic attack.
