The lead concentration in the aqueous extracted from the aged M-PVSCs (PVSCs with MOF) decreased drastically compared to r-PVSCs (PVSCs without MOF). This is attributed to the chemical reaction between the dense array of thiol and disulphide groups in the MOF with leaked lead ions
