"Octopus-like" Skin Can Stretch, Sense Touch, and Emit Light (1 of 3)

video: Mechanical testing data show excellent adhesion between the layers of a hyperelastic light-emitting capacitor (HLEC) as it is stretched. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the March 4, 2016, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by C. Larson at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., and colleagues was titled, "Highly stretchable electroluminescent skin for optical signaling and tactile sensing." view more
