Meeting Announcement

European Respiratory Society

Journalists are invited to register for press access to the European Respiratory Society’s (ERS) International Congress – a fully virtual event that will showcase all the latest advances and breakthroughs in respiratory medicine and science from 5–8 September, 2021.

Our annual congress is the largest meeting in the respiratory calendar, featuring more than 4,000 presentations on lung health topics such as asthma, COPD, lung cancer, COVID-19, environment and health, tobacco and e-cigarettes, plus lots more.

Press registration is completely free and grants access to an official embargoed ERS press pack, the online congress platform and all live scientific sessions, and a virtual press centre. The press programme will include the following presentations:

  • E-cigarettes containing nicotine cause blood clotting and make small blood vessels less adaptable
  • Artificial intelligence could help diagnose lung cancer a year earlier
  • Asthma can be caused by office work but finding and tackling the cause can keep employees in work
  • Effects of ambient temperature on COPD symptoms and exacerbations
  • Lung function before and after COVID-19 infection in young adults, adolescents and children
  • Association of COPD and asthma-COPD overlap with World Trade Center occupational exposure intensity
  • And more to be announced!

Register now for free press access and browse the preliminary congress programme.
