About The Study: This study used vital statistics data from 2012 to 2019 to project 2020 and 2021 mortality rates and found that alcohol use disorder-related mortality rates in the United States increased among all ages and sexes during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Authors: Yee Hui Yeo, M.D., M.Sc., of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and Fanpu Ji, M.D., Ph.D., of Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, Shaanxi, China, are the corresponding authors.
