Getting tough on tuft cell lung cancer

A type of small-cell lung cancer originates from cells known as tuft cells, and has poor prognoses and treatment options. CSHL Professor Christopher Vakoc’s team has discovered how tuft cells are made in the body. Disrupting tuft cell development may be a new way to treat this deadly lung cancer.
